Marriage Of One

“Marriage, without compromise”

My name is Chris.  I’m 35 and I’ve been married for more than 8 years. And every one of them has been a struggle for sexual acceptance from my wife.

Marriage, without compromise is a strapline that has two meanings. One is that the marriage to me must be solid – there is no compromise there. No secrets, no cheating or philandering, there must be no compromise on the integrity of the relationship. Trust and respect must always be there.

The second meaning is the subject of this site, although I am guided by the first meaning. It is a marriage in which I have no ability to influence my wife to accept sexual compromise. All of these 8 years the deal has always been her way or the highway. After a last ditch attempt in June this year I gave up. We now no longer have a meaningful sex life.

Initially I thought I would build this site as a true blog.  But I think that the history of my struggle is more important than what is happening right now.  I will make posts as and when I feel they will be helpful, but at first I need to put everything in context.

So for a start, the first thing I’ll be doing is presenting three articles which will describe the personalities and relationship (as I see it) that puts this whole issue in context.  These three will be published simultaneously so as not to prejudice any reader for or against myself or my wife.

Following this I’ll put in a brief history of my marriage, and then we’ll take it from there.  These will be simple pages (links under ‘Pages’ in the menu) condensing the key events of the last eight years and I’ll make them as short as I can without losing pertinent details.  These articles are being written not just from memory.  I have also kept paper diaries along the way, writing about events and my feelings at various points along the way.  So the history I’ll be committing to this website is as accurate as I can make it.

Please read on and make your comments and ask your questions and don’t necessarily wait for the articles to be published.  Some are already almost ready for publication, but just need some tweaking.  I really would like to hear from you.

The articles are

  1. I am in such awe about your blog.
Just to see someone so startlingly honest.

  2. Thanks for your kind comment. I have to somehow make the time to keep it updated more frequently. But as you may have gathered, I’m a family man and have a full time job. In addition I really do try to spend quality time with Susan. She doesn’t know about this site.
